Math department offers Calculus Supplemental course

MATH-1960-XX, Calculus Supplemental

This pilot course is designed for Freshman enrolled in Calculus I that want to work even harder on Calculus and PreCalculus problems to help ll gaps in their mathematical preparation, sharpen their mathematical skills, and improve and deepen their understanding of Calculus. Each week, students will need to work all the problems assigned in their Calculus I course and additionally work supplemental problems for this course. The weekly sessions will discuss the problems. There will be no exams or quizzes. Grades will be based on how well students prepare each week, and failing to attend the sessions or coming under-prepared more than a few times will lead to failure. Open only to Freshman.

Students that have credit for MATH-1010 may not enroll in this course. Corequisite: MATH-1010, (Limited Enrollment), 1 credit hour.

Students can register for the course, CRN 45490, on their own via the Student Information System through Monday, September 14 at 11:59 p.m. Beginning Tuesday, students will need to have a late add/drop form completed by the Math Department (located in Amos Eaton).
